Applying Nature Immersion to Manage Stress

A WORKSHOP DESIGNED TO HELP PARTICIPANTS UNDERSTAND, IDENTIFY & MANAGE STRESS AND AVOID BURNOUT

In a paradigm of "doing more with less" where we face high professional workloads and competing demands from our personal lives and family relationships, the baseline stress we experience is increasing . This stress negatively effects our physical and mental health and impairs our ability to perform at our best.


Research has found that Nature Immersion is highly effective in treating stress, exhaustion and resulting burnout. 


Applying Nature Immersion to Manage Stress draws on current research to teach participants how to: 

    > understand the various causes of stress

    > the psychological and physiological mechanisms of stress

    > a methodology for identifying and assessing stress levels

    > practical strategies to manage stress and avoid burnout using Nature Immersion 


The training modules throughout the course are combined with a cornerstone Nature Immersion session.  This session provides an opportunity for participants to experience the power of  Nature Immersion for stress management and integrate key learnings from the course.


The course includes a mapping of natural spaces within the organization's vicinity to allow participants to easily utilize this practice as needed on an ongoing basis.

Natural Insight: Nature Immersion & Creative Thinking

HOW USE NATURE IMMERSION FOR PROBLEM SOLVING AND TO UNLOCK INSPIRATION & CREATIVITY

Nature can be a wellspring of inspiration and "blue sky" thinking as demonstrated by the classic story of Sir Issac Newton and the apple, and the emerging field of biomimicry. 


Research has found that Nature Immersion induces a mental state that can increase creativity, flexible thinking and high-level cognitive function between 25-50%


This course will teach participants how to use Nature Immersion to achieve clarity, creativity and inspiration for problem-solving, strategy, concept development and design.

Nature Immersion to Remedy Disengagement & Apathy

USING NATURE IMMERSION TO COUNTER FEELINGS OF DISENGAGEMENT, APATHY & DISCONNECTION

At some time we have all faced feelings of disconnection & apathy towards our work leaving us disengaged and struggling to maintain motivation. 


Research has shown that Nature Immersion decreases negative thoughts and emotions while increasing optimism, gratitude and motivation. 


This course will teach participants about the sources and causes of feelings of apathy, disengagement and disconnection, and how to use Nature Immersion effectively to reset attitudes and regain perspective.
